I had a pretty low success rate first time trying to shoot these. So keeping in mind that these are verrrrrrrrrry tiny , only a couple days old and I have just a small triangle of open space to shoot through, here's the first three days from the Anna's Hummingbird nest of mom and babies...
This first one from Monday is tough to see. It was my first peek at them and mom isn't in there to provide a focal point. Directly in the middle is a little black nub with a tiny gold beak pointed up. I'm almost certain this is their first day, second at the most.

And here's mom with them back at the nest that same afternoon..

One day later...

This would be so much easier if I could just trim a twig or two but there's a reason she hid the nest so well and I don't want to mess things up. Lots of crows and blue jays looking for a meal around here too. Her colors and the nest match the tree perfectly. I wanted to get these developed quick to see what adjustments to make the next batch a little better so here's the last one from this morning. It's not quite focused good enough but you can see how much bigger (well relatively for a hummingbird) that they are getting..
