  • Somewhat new to Oregon - Looking for group hikes

Hi - I have lived in Oregon for two years and I LOVE IT !!!  Haven't met a whole lot of people yet that want to go hiking, so I would like to find a few more people to go on regular hikes with this summer.

I live in Beaverton and am open to going pretty much anywhere for a good hike.

    Thanks,

    Alecia

    Welcome to the site Charles!

Check out the links to the mazamas and the trails club on the home page. They often plan group hikes.

Also, look for Jane's weekly reports of scheduled events and hikes in this forum.

Finally, don't be afraid to get out there solo, particularly in the more well-travelled areas. Angel's Rest, Multnomah Falls, Ponytail Falls, Eagle Creek and Catherine Creek are guaranteed places to see lots of people. Sometimes we prefer more solitude, but hoards of people add safety for newer folks.

What do you suppose is around that next bend?

    Thanks Steve!

I started doing some easy hikes/walks just a couple of weeks ago around beaverton. And im planning to discover what wildwood trail has got to offer this weekend.

Looking forward to meeting you guys, and maybe give me some suggestions on equipments too.

    Thanks

    Charles

HI my name is Rebecca and I am not new to hiking.

I would like to find a day hike partner(s) to hike on the beaches around here.

Bybee Lakes I would like to find someone who could do two hour or so jaunts on the beach on perhaps a regular basis. I dont know it well so it would be an adventure.

Also , sauvie island warrior rock.
