Yay for negative tides and possible warm weather!

I'm headed for the beach in the hopes of discovering more treasures and to explore the surrounding sea caves. My destination is the Three Capes area near Tillamook and perhaps up to Cannon Beach.

A note of... warning: I really really love the ocean and have a habit of looking at everything that catches my eye, so this will be a very slow - yet very restful - stroll on the beach.

While I love being out there alone (not that I'm adverse to company), I also love having help with gas money! I'll do all the driving if you can help chip in for gas.

Low tide for Bay City/Tillamook is around 1pm while Cannon Beach's is a little before noon. While I love Cannon Beach (Hug Point!), I would rather spend the time of low tide at Oceanside and the Capes. Firm time table will be decided later.

A must stop for me is to revisit this cave near Oceanside:
    seacave

and see if it's possible to walk into it.

Sounds fun, I can go if it's still on.  If others can carpool/share fuel costs, this could be really cheap fun.  And "very slow" sounds good, since I'll likely be tired from my Thursday excursion anyway.

    Awesome :)

I'm thinking of leaving by 10am to get to Oceanside by around 12. We can either grab lunch then or wait til later. Fast food or snacks or a resturant, it doesn't matter to me. Maybe if the weather is nice enough we can picnic on the beach :)

The two big, free parking spot that's right near 26, that I can think of top of my head, is the Sunset Transit center or the Tanasbourne Mall. Let me know which one is more convient for you to be picked up. Or, if you're in the Beaverton area and/or near 26 or highway 6, I can pick you up along the way.

Also, I'm flexible on time, if you want to leave earlier/later (to or from the beach), also let me know!

the time is fine with me.I am in the west slope area off canyon rd in beaverton.

if you could let me know where the parking areas are that would be great!

Sounds good.  10:00 at Sunset TC would work for me.

Good question, Rebecca. I'm going to call Trimet for directions since I've never been to Sunset TC and the map's confusing me.
