I'm toying with snowshoeing up to Horseshoe Ridge or East Zigzag Mountain this weekend. According to pdxgene's
post we should be anle to start pretty close to the bridge crossing over the Sandy River. Round trip would be up to 10 miles with about 3000 feet elevation gain (see map
here).
With warm conditions forecasted the snow should be soft and make for a challenging day, but I think definitely doable and worth it. I need to get these legs in shape for the summer! Let me know if interested.
